St. Barnabas

HELP!!!

The rains began in earnest Tuesday evening but many folks were not prepared for the early rains and were just starting to repair/rebuild their roofs or homes.  (No rain has fallen since then. But it will be here any day) No one had expected the rains this early in June. Corrugate (used for roofing) is expensive here and money is needed to purchase it.  In order to repair or rebuild their houses the villagers won't be able to buy medicines if they become ill With The rains come the mosquitoes and then we will have all the malaria patients coming for help. If they have to buy medicines, they will be unable to complete their homes. Helping by giving out the medicines free of charge takes care of that problem. These wonderful folks are our brothers and sisters, children of God. They for the most part are subsistence farmers with no other income. The areas they farm are pieces of land waiting to be bought. Once the land is sold the farmer has to look for another plot and because land is premium these days the areas for planting are not plenty which causes another problem. Honestly, if we had to face the problems that these folks face,  we would probably give up. This is the hard life in paradise.
So, I really am begging, pleading for your help with this.
Yesterday we had to start turning people away because most of our medicines have been given out.  One problem is that we credited our last supply of medicines while trusting in the Lord and until that is paid up I am not able to ask the vendors for more credit. My SS income and any money made from selling the blue hermit witness jewelry and rosaries has already been used to buy what we could..
Gosh, won't you please make a sacrifice and help? Please!!

You can send any donations to:

(Bob will put your gift into my account and I will be able to convert a check over here into local currency)

Thank you for helping. I send my love and prayers,

Br. dismas Mary
